Greetings to you, lovely soul, and welcome our series of articles that aim to provide you with tools, inspiration, and insight on how to empower yourself.

The practice of yoga, optimally combined with additional wisdom traditions like aromatherapy, coaching, mediation, and energy healing, has a profound impact on the way we perceive life. It enhances our awareness, awakens the innate Goddess energy within, and offers powerful tools to become a better person on and off the yoga mat.

By yoga practice I talk about the whole philosophy that slowly but steadily seeps into your soul, helping you to release anxiety, stress and tension from body, mind, spirit and emotions. It supports you in becoming the witness, observing the unity within, to everything there is, and to a greater power (the Universe/God/…).
Yoga encourages you to cultivate mindfulness, compassion, acceptance and kindness while releasing (self-)criticism, judgement and comparison. Tweet this! 

The practice focuses us in the here and now while calming an overactive mind.

The Yoga Sutras by Patanjali written thousands of years ago, state in
Yoga Sutra 1.1 “Atha yoga anusasanam”
Meaning, now is the time for yoga. Yoga is in the present moment.

Yoga Sutra 1.2 “Yoga citta vrtti nirodhah”
“Yoga is the cessation of the misidentification with the modifications of the mind.” Gary Kissiah, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
and
Yoga Sutra 2.42 “Samtosad anuttamah sukha labhah”
“Contentment brings supreme happiness.”

By being present, and observant, we cultivate inner peace. The ability to release past and future, to be in the depth of the present, taking in every moment, being fully alive, creates contentment. Tweet this!

Create balance, harmony, and content within yourself by taking time for a regular mindfulness practice. Be empowered by keeping your mind calm, your body content, and emotions balanced and your heart joyful.
