“The biggest adventure you can ever take
is to live the life of your dreams.”
~ Oprah Winfrey
Fall is here. The weather has cooled down and the days are getting shorter.
Fall is the season to harvest your dreams, take inventory of those that came true and others that didn’t do so well.
Without judgement we rejoice in the good harvest and allow ourselves to feel the sadness over the unfulfilled ones. As we go through this evaluation, we consider what is really important to us and what can be released from our lives. We become clear and make space for new opportunities to come to us.
It is also worth considering that those unfulfilled dreams might no longer be important or they may just take a little more time and turn out even more amazing than you could have ever imagined. Just stay open to all possibilities!
Just like in nature, where October is a good time for planting flower and vegetable seeds, this month provides us with fertile grounds for the seeds of our dreams.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. With every inhale get clear on your passion, calling or purpose, with every exhale let go of what is no longer serving you. Now, start breathing into your heart center… As you bring your awareness to you heart, begin to identify your dream, visualize it, feel it. Start calling on what you want to create, set intentions, maybe write them down.
Now that you are clear on what you are wanting, imagine planting the seeds of your dreams in the most beautiful and magical field that you can imagine. Be creative. Everything is possible! Maybe your seeds are growing on clouds, in the ocean, a beach or stream, a meadow, in a lotus flower or a rose…
Once the seeds of your dreams have been planted, tend to them, water them with your intention, care for them with your love, remove weeds/obstacles/negative thoughts/distractions.
Then as winter comes, let the seeds rest, knowing they are safely planted. Winter is the time to surrender your dreams to the Divine/Higher Consciousness/God/Angels/Jesus/Buddha/Allah/Krishna or any deity or higher power that you believe in. Time to rest, relax and surrender.
“I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you. ”
~ Oprah Winfrey
