“Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity.
This evolution includes all aspects of one’s being, from bodily health to self-realization.
Yoga means union – the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul.
Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude
in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”
~ B.K.S. Iyengar
I love Yoga! Yoga has made such a difference in my life and my gratitude goes out to this ancient practice.
Yoga has helped me discover my true self, my needs, my intuition, and encouraged me to follow my heart.
It has shed light along my path, given me comfort, inspiration, courage, wisdom, peace and strength. Yoga has been supporting me in finding balance in my life, to honor my body, to build strength and flexibility physically and emotionally, to bring balance to my body, mind, spirit and emotions. Yoga reminds me to be playful, non-judgmental, to observe my thoughts, to bring awareness to the quality of my breath and to find inner peace, love and joy!
My love for yoga inspired me to become a yoga instructor to share the amazing power, magic and benefits of yoga with YOU.
“If you practice yoga once a week, you will change your mind. If you practice twice a week, you will change your body. If you practice every day, you will change your life.”
~ Mehtab
Currently one of my favorite yoga poses is Virabhadrasana II or Warrior II. To me it expresses strength, confidence and the power, magic and wisdom of the Goddess within.

Virabhadrasana II / Warrior II
Stand at the top of your mat in Tadasana or Mountain Pose. Step your right foot back and draw your heel on to your mat, stepping the foot about 45 degrees out.
Align your left foot to either your right heel or arch. Inhale to bend your front knee and externally rotate your thigh to
keep your knee over the ankle. Exhale to draw the lower belly in and up towards your spine and lower your tailbone down. Press into the outside of your right foot and draw your right hip back, sink it down and forward toward the front ankle. Draw in the lower ribs and lift the chest. Extend your arms out from your heart center and look over your left fingertips. Relax your shoulders away from your ears and feel your inner strength. Breathe and enjoy!
You cannot do yoga. Yoga is your natural state. What you can do are yoga exercises, which may reveal to you where you are resisting your natural state.
