Fall scents ~ 8 Essential Oils to get you in the mood for Fall

The cooler temperatures of Fall, the crisp morning air and the changing colors of the leaves, invite us to diffuse a blend of soothing, and warming essential oils. Make yourself cozy at home or in your office by creating a blend of the recommended oils below, or just choose your favorite one and add about 10 drops to your aromatherapy diffuser. Take some deep, calm breaths and enjoy.

1. Vanilla (Vanilla planifolia)
Vanilla essential oil is commonly blended with pure jojoba oil. Let the divine and soothing scent melt away any stress, or worries as it calms and comforts your emotions, mind, and spirit.

2. Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata)
The sweet and warming fragrance of Ylang Ylang offers a wonderful blending partner to the comforting vanilla oil. Let this essential oils awaken your senses, as it gently warms your heart, calms your mind, and lifts up your spirit.

3. Sandalwood (Santalum album)
This precious and sacred oil has been used since ancient times. Sandalwood encourages a meditative state of mind, allowing you access your inner wisdom, insights and intuition. Its warming properties bring harmony and balance to body, mind, and spirit.

4. Clove (Eugenia caryophyllus)
The warm, spicy, rich, sweet scent of Clove makes a lovely exotic blend when diffused with Sweet Orange and Ginger. Clove is a soothing and calming oil that creates feelings of coziness, inner warmth and comfort.

5. Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)
The sweet, fresh, and fruity scent of Sweet Orange is uplifting, cheerful, and encourages positive emotions and self-confidence.

6. Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
In the Indian tradition Ginger oil is believed to awaken “agni”, the inner fire of confidence, divine energies, and creativity. This warming, spicy and earthy oil inspires courage, while it soothes the soul, and warms the heart.

7. Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoides)
This woody, and earthy oil supports deep relaxation. Vetiver is very calming, soothing, encouraging, as well as grounding, and helps to release worries, stress, tension or inner disquiet.

8. Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)
Diffuse this oil with Ylang Ylang, Vanilla and Sandalwood to encourage harmony, inner peace, and comfort, or blend Patchouli with Clove, Sweet Orange and Ginger to create an exotic, uplifting and spicy-sweet aroma.
Patchouli is a herbaceous, spicy, sweet, and woodsy scent that eases nervous tension, and calms the mind and emotions.
