In order to harmonize the connection between your mind, body, spirit and emotions it is important to balance your chakras. Keeping the energy vibrations high and aligned supports your general health and well-being.

Very strong positive or negative emotions, as well as stress can push your chakras off-balance and you may end up feeling somewhat out of whack. Depending on the situation, your chakra may expand or deplete its energy. But not to worry, here’s how you can use Aromatherapy to realign your chakras.

Simply blend a drop of essential oil with a base oil (like coconut, sweet almond or sesame oil) and gently massage it on to your chakra area in a clockwise direction. This practice of anointing has been used in many ancient and spiritual traditions.

If you decide to apply the oils to your skin, please make sure you study possible contraindications first and try the diluted oil your arm for possible sensitivity.
Another option is to use your aromatherapy diffuser to continuously inhale the oil(s) of your choice.

1st Chakra

The first chakra, the Root or Base Chakra or Muladhara, is located at the base of your spine.
It is connected to our sense of belonging, the need for survival (food, shelter, water), and reflects whether we feel grounded, connected, rooted, and supported in our lives.
Best essential oils to balance your Root Chakra are Vetiver, Patchouli, and Rosewood. I recommend to use one oil and gently rub it at the base of your spine (tailbone), close your eyes and set the intention to realign your chakra to its perfect state.

2nd Chakra

The Sacral Chakra, or Svadhisthana, is located a few inches below your navel. It is connected to sensuality, creativity, sexuality, fluidity, and pleasure. When this chakra is unbalanced you may feel guilt, and a suppressed creative flow in your life. Support your Sacral Chakra balance with the following oils: Sandalwood, Benzoin, Cardamom. As you massage the oil to the front and back of your Sacral Chakra, inhale the fragrance and set the intention to fuel the chakra will all that it needs.

3rd Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra, or Manipura, is located at your navel area and represents your power center. This chakra reflects your sense of self, confidence, security, willpower, self-worth, playfulness and commitment to follow through on things.
To realign your Solar Plexus Chakra choose essential oils like Orange, Cedarwood, or Juniper.

4th Chakra

Your Heart Chakra or Anahata is located in the center of your chest and resonates to our emotions. It is the chakra of love, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, harmony, grace and unity. To balance your Heart Chakra I suggest the following oils: Rose, Bergamot, Lavender.

5th Chakra

The Throat Chakra or Vishudda is located at the throat and stands for self-knowledge, communication (conscious listening and clear, loving speech), self-expression, and willpower. To rebalance I recommend the following oils: Basil, Cypress, Peppermint.

6th Chakra

The 3rd Eye Chakra, or Ajna, is located at the center of your forehead. This chakra connects you to your intuition, inner wisdom, insight, truth and vision. It supports you to separate the ultimate truth from illusions, thoughts, and perceptions. To balance this chakra I suggest the following oils: Frankincense, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang.

7th Chakra

The Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara, connects you to your higher self, higher connection to the Divine, and supports you through transcendence and inner growth to your highest potential. My oil suggestions for this chakra are: Frankincense, Neroli, Jasmine.

May the Chakra Balancing with Aromatherapy bring you back to harmony, optimal health, and well-being!
