Get in the mood for the upcoming holidays by bringing cheery, warming, and cozy aromas into your home. The intricate sense of smell is strongly connected to mind, body, spirit and emotions. Therefore, smelling an inviting fragrance makes us feel at home, relaxed, and cheerful.

Here’s how to make your own holiday aromatherapy blend and three ways to get your home fragrant and ready for the holidays.

Warming, sweet, and spicy essential oils ignite emotions of comfort, hominess, and warmth. Choose your favorite combination of the below essential oils to make your own holiday aromatherapy blend.

Bay Laurel

Cardamom

Cinnamon

Clove

Frankincense

Nutmeg

Sweet Orange

Vanilla

1. Room Diffusion

Add about 12 drops of above essentials oils into your aromatherapy burner or diffuser.

2. Room Spray

To enhance the fragrance in a room or distribute the holiday cheer in your entire house, create your own holiday blend room spray.

Get a spray bottle (best made of glass) and add about 48 drops of essential oils to 4 oz. of water. Blend well and spray around your house. Make sure to keep away from your eyes, furniture, and of course children and pets.

3. Fragrant Holiday Arrangement

Invite the natural fragrance of plants, herbs, fruit and spices into your home.

Incorporate color, meaning, aromas, and different textures by collecting fragrant wood pieces like cedarwood, pine needles, pine cones, spices like cinnamon sticks and clove, as well as dried lemon or orange peel, and fresh cranberries.

Arrange everything in a decorative bowl or on a large plate.

Depending on how you decide to display your arrangement you may consider adding objects like small rocks, candles or crystals. Add a few drops of essential oils, if you wish for a stronger fragrance.

Wishing you and your loved ones a happy, fragrant, and cheerful Holiday Season!

Many blessings,

Tanja
