We all know how important a good nights sleep is for our health and well-being. However, stress often plays havoc with our sleep and wakes us up at night where our mind becomes busy thinking and worrying about hundreds of things. Or it may be that you go to bed tired and once your head hits the pillow you can’t seem to fall asleep. There are many factors involved in getting a good night’s rest. One natural remedy is Aromatherapy.

When using essential oils please always make sure to not apply the oils directly to your skin and learn about their contraindications. Please don’t use Aromatherapy when pregnant unless you know which oils are safe for you. When in doubt please contact an Aromatherapist to assist you in choosing the right oils for your needs.

Please vary the oils for best effects.

Methods of application/use:

– Aromatic Baths – 6 drops of essential oils to a full bath

– A few drops of essential oil(s) on a tissue, cotton-ball or pillowcase

– Aromatherapy diffuser

Note of safety: Bergamot essential oil is safe to be inhaled but when used in baths, or direct application on your skin it may cause photosensitivity, so please refrain from sunbathing, sun-beds and UV light. Photosensitizing means that the oil makes your skin more likely to burn in the sun or develop brown spots. So please don’t apply this oil on your skin before sun exposure. Photosensitivity can last for several days.
