Is tiredness, lack of motivation, fatigue and lack of stamina getting the best of you some days? If so, help is here.
The highly concentrated plant extracts in essential oils support you in warding off fatigue and in keeping your mind, body, and emotions alert, energized, and focused.

When using essential oils please always make sure to not apply the oils directly to your skin and learn about their contraindications. Please don’t use Aromatherapy when pregnant unless you know which oils are safe for you. When in doubt please contact an Aromatherapist to assist you in choosing the right oils for your needs.

Let’s look at 6 Aromatherapy oils that can be used either alone or in combination with other oils and different ways on how to use them.

Methods of use:

  • Place 2-3 drops on a tissue or cotton ball and take long, deep inhales when in need for an energy kick
  • For an instant energy boost, take a few whiffs directly from the bottle
  • Diffuse the oils in your room
  • If you don’t have sensitive skin, you may consider to place a drop or two of the oil(s) in the palm of one hand, rub your palms together, close your eyes and inhale the aroma of energy boosting essential oils. Make sure to not touch your eyes, nose or sensitive areas of your body until you wash the oils of your hands.
  1.  Peppermint or Spearmint essential oil
The fresh, stimulating fragrance of mint helps to relieve stress, fatigue, and mental strain while leaving you feeling vibrant, re-energized, and alert. Both Peppermint and Spearmint have similar properties, with Spearmint being a somewhat milder and less harsh.
  2. Sweet Orange essential oil
The cheerful, vibrant, and bright scent of Sweet Orange lightens up your mood triggering feelings of warmth, harmony, and happiness. You may consider to blend Sweet Orange and Peppermint together. Then inhale the energizing, sweet and fragrant scent of these oils combined. Ahhhh…
  3. Bergamot essential oil
Let the refreshing, vivacious, stimulating aroma of Bergamot heighten your senses.
Bergamot uplifts your body, mind, emotions, and spirit, while relieving stress, anxiety and mild depression.
Note of safety: Please note that Bergamot oil is photosensitizing meaning that it makes your skin more likely to burn in the sun or develop brown spots. So please don’t apply this oil on your skin before sun exposure. Photosensitivity can last for several days.
  4. Lime essential oil
Repel fatigue, apathy, anxiety, mild depression, and tiredness from your mind with the refreshing, exotic, stimulating, and uplifting scent of Lime oil. Let it invigorate your body, mind, emotions and spirit and awaken your senses.
Cold pressed Lime essential oil is phototoxic, so please refer to my “note of safety” under Bergamot essential oil. The same caution applies to Lime essential oil.
  5. Rosemary essential oil
The refreshing and stimulating properties of Rosemary oil encourage clarity of mind, vitality and a boost of new energy.
Note of safety: Do not use when suffering from epilepsy! Avoid using if you have high blood pressure.
  6. Sweet Basil
The vibrant, uplifting, stimulating and clarifying aroma of Sweet Basil clears and strengthens the mind while relieving nervous tension, stress, anxiety and fatigue.

Re-energize yourself with Aromatherapy and explore your favorite aromas that lift you up when you need it. Enjoy your exploration!
