6 Essential Oils to Keep in Your Office

Who doesn’t need some additional mental stimulation, emotional pick-me up, confidence booster, and inspiration in their workplace? No matter if you are sitting in an office all day, are out in the field, traveling for work, teaching, or wherever your workplace may be, let Aromatherapy be your little helper.

Simply keep your preferred essential oil bottles in your drawer, so that you can reach for them when needed. Essential oils are flammable and may change their chemical composition when exposed to direct sunlight and heat. Best to keep them in a dark and cool place.

When using essential oils please always make sure to not apply the oils directly to your skin and learn about their contraindications. Please don’t use Aromatherapy when pregnant unless you know which oils are safe for you. When in doubt please contact an Aromatherapist to assist you in choosing the right oils for your needs.

The best way to use essential oils in an office space is to place a drop or two on a cotton-ball or tissue and inhale the properties.

  1.  Peppermint essential oil
This oil stimulates the brain, is invigorating, helps to clear foggy minds, eases tension headaches, and promotes clear thinking and focus.
  2. Rosemary essential oil
Use this oil solo or in combination with Peppermint oil for mental stimulation. Rosemary boosts concentration and focus, and therefore your productivity.
  3. Basil essential oil
Invigorating, and uplifting, Basil oil supports you in relieving nervous tension caused by the stress of work.
  4. Lemon essential oil
Stimulating and refreshing, lemon essential oil is emotionally invigorating, relieves stress, nervous tension, and irritability. It clears the mind, and promotes awareness.
  5. Lemongrass essential oil
Revitalizing, uplifting, energizing, motivating and enlivening, Lemongrass essential oil supports logical thinking, inspiration, and concentration.
  6. Ylang-Ylang essential oil
Relieves stress, nervous tension, rapid heartbeat or breathing (caused by stress, anxiety or anger), irritability, and even mild anxiety with the soothing, euphoric, and uplifting floral scent of Ylang-Ylang.
I hope that Aromatherapy will support your success, creativity, happiness and energy!

Please share with your friends and let me know your thoughts!

Best wishes and many blessings,
