Yin yoga is a slow, deep and meditative practice.
By going slow, we access deep connective tissues (ligaments, tendons, fascia) and our bones.
In addition to the many benefits Yin Yoga offers, one very important one is that it helps sustain joint flexibility.
Flexibility in our joints usually decreases with age and we come to understand why it is so important to incorporate a gentle slow-moving, meditative practice into our lives that supports our balance and keeps us flexible as we age.By holding the poses for several minutes, we allow connective tissue to stretch around the joints as we completely relax the overlying muscles to reap the full benefits of our Yin practice.

Yin yoga focuses on stimulating the ligaments and joints to encourage strengthening, flexibility and lengthening in these deeper tissues.
As we will be holding poses for longer, Yin yoga also invites us to become more aware and comfortable with arising emotions, thoughts, sensations, and our breath.

Each class will guide you through a blend of
slow, deep, soothing restorative poses
and include a guided Chakra Balancing Meditation.
